My 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 4.8 liter V6 runs very comfortably on E30 to E40. I splash blend all the time. It does NOT like higher than E50, however. I get a check engine light at E50+ blends. So I end up making it 5 gals of E85, along with 12 gallons of E10, makes a 17 gallon tank of E32.

I splash blended 40%-45% in my truck for 2 years with no problems. I have a conversion kit on it now and it runs great. If you have a non-flexed fuel car you can run about 50%. Lets take money away from the oil cartels and give to our farmers where it should in the first place. At least the farmers don’t send people to die to make a buck!

if your car is new enough you can blend more than 10 percent even if you don’t have a flex fuel car, I am running a 50 percent blend in a 2006 kia spectra. I have been doing that for 40 thousand miles with no problems.
